Schizophrenics in Indonesia continue to increase. Riskesdas 2018 data shows that the
proportion of schizophrenics is 7% of the total population while the riskesdas 2013 data the
proportion of schizophrenics is only 1.7% of the total population. About 50% - 70% of all
patients diagnosed with schizophrenia experience auditory hallucinations. The purpose of
this study was to determine the effect of Al-Qur'an therapy on reducing the frequency of
auditory hallucinations in Schizophrenia patients. This research method is quantitative with
an expansive Quasy approach conducted on 23 respondents in March - May 2019 at the
Rumah Sakit Jiwa Tampan of Riau Province. The researcher used the Auditory
Hallucinations Rating Scale (AHRS) module and evaluation sheet before and after the
intervention. The results showed that there was an effect of Al-Qur'an therapy on the
reduction in the frequency of auditory hallucinations in schizophrenic patients (P Value
0,000). For the RSJ to be able to include al-Qur'an therapy as a nursing intervention in
providing nursing care to auditory hallucinations patients.
