Abstract
Terdapat temuan bahaya diperusahaan yang ada di Indonesia bahwa 60% tenaga kerja cedera kepala karena tidak menggunakan helm safety, 77% tenaga kerja cedera kaki karena tidak menggunakan sepatu pengaman, dan 66% tenaga kerja cedera mata karena tidak menggunakan alat pelindung mata. Hal ini merupakan dampak dari tidak patuhnya dalam penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD) saat bekerja. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari hubungan antara Pengetahuan, Pendidikan, Masa Kerja dan Sikap dengan kepatuhan dalam penggunaan APD saat bekerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan 48 responden untuk mengisi kuesioner dan lembar observasi dengan uji chi-square, sehingga didapat adanya hubungan antara kepatuhan pemakaian alat pelindung diri pada pekerja proyek dengan Pengetahuan (p=0,027), Tingkat Pendidikan (p=0,036), masa kerja (p=0,020) dan sikap (p=0,045). Simpulan penelitian ini yaitu terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan, tingkat Pendidikan, masa kerja dan sikap dengan kepatuhan pemakaian APD.
There are dangerous findings in companies in Indonesia that 60% of workers suffer head injuries because they do not wear safety helmets, 77% of workers suffer leg injuries because they do not wear safety shoes, and 66% of workers suffer eye injuries because they do not use eye protection. This is the impact of non- compliance with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when working. Therefore, this research aims to find the relationship between Knowledge, Education, Years of Service and Attitudes with compliance in using PPE while working. This research used 48 respondents to fill out questionnaires and observation sheets using the chi-square test, so that there was a relationship between compliance with the use of personal protective equipment among project workers and knowledge (p=0.027), education level (p=0.036), length of service (p =0.020) and attitude (p=0.045). The conclusion of this research is that there is a relationship between knowledge, level of education, length of service and attitude and compliance with the use of PPE.
