Hubungan Breastfeeding Self Efficacy Dengan Keberhasilan Pemberian ASI Eksklusif di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Payung Sekaki Pekanbaru

ASI adalah makanan pertama, utama dan terbaik bagi bayi dan bersifat alamiah karena mengandung berbagai zat yang dibutuhkan bayi dalam proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya, serta dapat melindungi bayi dari penyakit. ASI Eksklusif merupakan pemberian ASI yang tidak disertai dengan pemberian suplementasi makanan maupun minuman lain kecuali obat selama 6 bulan pertama. Namun tidak semua ibu berhasil memberikan ASI Ekslusif pada bayinya, hal ini dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, salahsatunya Breastfeeding Self Efficacy. Breastfeedng Self Efficacy (BSE) adalah keyakinan seorang ibu terkait kemampuanya untuk menyusui bayinya dan memperkirakan apakah ibu memilih untuk menyusui atau tidak, berapa banyak usaha yang dikeluarkan dan bagaimana cara menanggapi kesulitan menyusui. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui hubungan breasfeeding self efficacy dengan keberhasilan pemberian ASI ekslusif di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Payung Sekaki Pekanbaru. Metode: penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan desain penelitian yaitu korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh ibu menyusui >6 bulan- 12 bulan yang berkunjung diwilayah kerja Puskesmas Payung Sekaki Pekanbaru sampai pada Desember 2023 yaitu sebanyak 112 orang Teknik sampling yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah non probability sampling. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini ditentukan dengan rumus slovin sehingga didapat sebanyak 87 orang. Hasil: Hasil analisis bivariat dengan uji chi-square didapat nilai p value sebesar 0,000<0,05. Kesimpulan: Dari hasil analisis bivariat ditemukan ada hubungan yang nyata breassfeding self efficacy dengan keberhasilan pemberian ASI eksklusif di wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Payung Sekaki Pekanbaru.

Breast milk is the first, main and best food for babies and is natural because it contains various substances needed by babies in the process of growth and development, and can protect babies from disease. Exclusive breastfeeding is breastfeeding that is not accompanied by supplementation of other foods or drinks except for medicine for the first 6 months. However, not all mothers succeed in providing exclusive breastfeeding to their babies, this is influenced by many factors, one of which is Breastfeeding Self Efficacy. Breastfeeding Self Efficacy (BSE) is a mother's belief in her ability to breastfeed her baby and predicts whether or not she chooses to breastfeed, how much effort is expended and how to respond to breastfeeding difficulties. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of breasfeeding self-efficacy with the success of exclusive breastfeeding in the working area of Payung Sekaki Health Center Pekanbaru. Methods: This research is a quantitative study using a research design that is correlation with a cross sectional approach. Population The in this study were all breastfeeding mothers >6 months-12 months who visited the work area of the Payung Sekaki Pekanbaru Health Center until December 2023, namely 112 people. The sampling technique used in this study was non probability sampling. The number of samples in this study was determined by the slovin formula and obtained as many as 87 people. Results: The results of bivariate analysis with the chi-square test obtained a p value of 0.000 <0.05. Conclusion: From the results of bivariate analysis, it was found that there was a real relationship between breastfeeding self-efficacy and the success of exclusive breastfeeding in the Payung Sekaki Pekanbaru Health Center working area.
