Hubungan Efek Samping Dengan Kepatuhan Kemoterapi Pasien Kanker Serviks di RSUD Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau

Kanker serviks merupakan salah satu jenis kanker dengan angka kejadian dan kematian tertinggi di Indonesia. Berdasarkan data dari RSUD Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru, jumlah kasus kanker serviks terus meningkat setiap tahunnya. Salah satu metode pengobatan utama bagi pasien kanker serviks adalah kemoterapi. Pengobatan ini sering kali menyebabkan berbagai efek samping, seperti mual, muntah, kelelahan, rambut rontok, dan gangguan kekebalan tubuh. Efek samping ini tidak hanya memengaruhi kondisi fisik pasien, tetapi juga berdampak pada psikologis mereka, sehingga menurunkan motivasi untuk melanjutkan pengobatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Hubungan Efek Samping Dengan Kepatuhan Kemoterapi Pada Pasien Kanker Serviks di RSUD Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain korelasi dan pendekatan cross sectional. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner efek samping dan kepatuhan kemoterapi. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 64 pasien yang diambil dengan teknik accidental sampling. Analisa data univariat dan bivariat mengguakan uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian responden tidak patuh melaksanakan kemoterapi 34 orang (53,1%), responden yang patuh 30 orang (45,9%) responden yang memiliki efek samping berat 34 orang (53,1%) dan efek samping yang rendah 30 orang (45,9%). Hasil menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan efek samping dengan kepatuhan kemoterapi pasien kanker serviks (p- value=0,140), Diharapkan bagi peneliti selanjutnya dapat melakukan penelitian tentang faktor lain yang mempengaruhi kepatuhan pasien dalam melakukan terapi.

Cervical cancer is one of the cancers with the highest incidence and mortality rates in Indonesia. Based on data from RSUD Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru, the number of cervical cancer cases continues to increase every year. One of the main treatment methods for cervical cancer patients is chemotherapy. This treatment often causes various side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, fatigue, hair loss, and immune disorders. These side effects not only affect the physical condition of patients, but also have an impact on their psychology, thus decreasing their motivation to continue treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between side effects and chemotherapy adherence in cervical cancer patients at RSUD Arifin Achmad Riau Province. This type of research is quantitative with correlation and cross sectional approach. The research instruments were side effect questionnaire and chemotherapy compliance. The research sample amounted to 64 people taken by accidental sampling technique. Univariate and bivariate data analysis using chi-square test. The results of the study respondents were not obedient to carry out chemotherapy 34 people (53.1%), obedient respondents 30 people (45.9%) who had severe side effects 34 people (53.1%) and low 30 people (45.9%). The results showed that there was no relationship between side effects and chemotherapy compliance of cervical cancer patients (p-value=0.140), it is hoped that future researchers can conduct research on other factors that affect patient compliance in carrying out therapy.
