Abstract
Intervensi dilakukan selama 4 hari (14– 17 Juli 2026), durasi 10–15 menit per sesi. Evaluasi kekuatan otot mengukur instrumen Manual Muscle Testing (MMT). Hasil: Setelah 4 hari intervensi, pasien kooperatif mengikuti terapi. Skor kekuatan otot (MMT) ekstremitas kiri atas dan bawah pasien berada pada nilai 3 (mampu melawan gravitasi, belum mampu menahan tahanan), menunjukkan pemulihan neuromuskular memerlukan latihan berkelanjutan
Background: Non-hemorrhagic stroke leads to fine motor impairment and hemiparesis, limiting patient independence. Serrated rubber ball grip therapy is a rehabilitative nursing intervention aimed at stimulating neuromuscular function and improving grip strength. Objective: To implement rubber ball grip therapy to enhance fine motor strength in a non-hemorrhagic stroke patient at RSUD Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru. Methods: A descriptive case study involving a non-hemorrhagic stroke patient (Mr. J, 58 years old) with impaired physical mobility. The intervention was conducted over 4 days (July 14–17, 2026) for 10–15 minutes per session, evaluated using Manual Muscle Testing (MMT). Results: After 4 days, the patient showed good compliance. The MMT score for the left extremities remained at grade 3 (movement against gravity without resistance), indicating that neuromuscular recovery requires prolonged exercise. Conclusion: Rubber ball grip therapy is suitable as an independent nursing intervention for fine motor rehabilitation and should be continued consistently at home.
