Pengaruh Edukasi Rebusan Daun Kersen Untuk Menurunkan Kadar Gula Darah Terhadap Pengetahuan Pasien DM Tipe II Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Garuda Pekanbaru

Diabetes Melitus merupakan suatu penyakit atau gangguan metabolisme kronis yang ditandai dengan tingginya kadar glukosa darah, sehingga jika tidak diatasi akan menimbulkan berbagai macam komplikasi. Penyakit diabetes mellitus membutuhkan pengobatan secara farmakologi maupun nonfarmakologi. Salah satu pengobatan nonfarmakologi adalah rebusan daun kersen. Namun, saat ini banyak masyarakat yang belum mengetahui khasiat daun kersen sehingga diperlukannya pemberian edukasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk pengaruh edukasi rebusan daun kersen untuk menurunkan kadar gula darah terhadap pengetahuan pasien diabetes mellitus tipe II di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Garuda Kota Pekanbaru. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan juni – juli 2024. Jenis penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan desain quasy eksperiment dan rancangan penelitian pre-test and post-test without control design. Responden berjumlah 15 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen penelitian berupa lembar kuesioner rebusan daun kersen. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis univariat dan analisis bivariat. Hasil penelitian didapatkan rata-rata pengetahuan penderita DM sebelum diberikan edukasi rebusan daun kersen adalah 20,00. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata pengetahuan penderita DM sesudah diberikan edukasi rebusan daun kersen adalah 84,67. Hasil analisis uji Wilcoxon didapatkan nilai signifikansi p-value 0,000 < 0,05 maka H0 ditolak sehingga dapat diartikan ada pengaruh edukasi rebusan daun kersen untuk menurunkan kadar gula darah terhadap pengetahuan pasien DM Tipe II. Pelaksanaan edukasi rebusan daun kersen ini diharapkan dapat diimplementasikan secara mandiri setelah selesai penelitian sebagai pendamping dari pengobatan farmakologi dan bagi penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan

Diabetes Mellitus is a disease or chronic metabolic disorder characterized by high blood glucose levels, which if not addressed will lead to various complications. Diabetes mellitus requires pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment. One of the nonpharmacological treatments is cherry leaf decoction. However, currently there are many people who do not know the efficacy of cherry leaves so that education is needed. The purpose of this study was to influence the education of cherry leaf decoction to reduce blood sugar levels on the knowledge of patients with type II diabetes mellitus in the working area of the Garuda Health Center, Pekanbaru City. The research was conducted in June - July 2024. This type of research is quantitative with a quasy experimental design and a pre-test and post- test without control design. Respondents totaled 15 people with purposive sampling technique. This study used a research instrument in the form of a cherry leaf decoction questionnaire sheet. Data analysis used is univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. The results showed that the average knowledge of DM patients before being given cherry leaf decoction education was 20.00. While the average value of knowledge of people with DM after being given cherry leaf decoction education is 84.67. The results of the Wilcoxon test analysis obtained a significance value of p-value 0.000 <0.05, so H0 is rejected so that it can be interpreted that there is an effect of cherry leaf decoction education to reduce blood sugar levels on the knowledge of Type II DM patients. The implementation of cherry leaf decoction education is expected to be implemented independently after completion of the study as a companion to pharmacological treatment and for further research is expected to provide cherry leaf decoction interventions for DM patients.
