Abstract

ABSTRACT The program visual inspection of acetic acid (IVA) which has been stated in the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia regarding technical guidelines for controlling breast cancer and cervical cancer. Minister of Health Regulation No. 34 of 2015 concerning prevention of breast cancer and cervical cancer that regulates the IVA method. At present the coverage of cervical cancer early detection screening in Indonesia through IVA is still very low at around 5%, while the effective screening coverage in reducing morbidity and mortality due to cervical cancer is 85%. The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that the average achievement of cervical cancer screening using the IVA method was 11.64%. This target is still far from the target set. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between husband support and information sources with IVA examination in WUS in the working area of Rumbai Health Center. This type of research is quantitative with andesign analytic descriptive andapproach cross-sectional. The sample of this study was WUS in the working area of Rumbai Health Center with an age range of 20-45 years as many as 73 respondents. Sampling in this study usingtechnique purposive sampling. Data collection in this study using a questionnaire. The analysis used was the Chi-Square statistical test. Statistical test results showed that there was a significant relationship between husband's support and IVA examination (p = 0.000), and there was a significant relationship between informational sources and IVA examination (p = 0.000). This research recommends that it is expected for health workers to increase health promotion or education about VIA examinations.
