Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Respon Empati Mahasiswa Profesi Ners di Tatanan Klinik pada Era Pandemi COVID-19.

ABSTRAK Empati sangat dibutuhkan seorang perawat maupun pada mahasiswa profesi ners, selain untuk menjalin hubungan yang baik dengan pasien, empati juga diperlukan untuk mempermudah menggali permasalahan pasien, yang nantinya berguna untuk dapat mempercepat proses penyembuhan pasien. Kemampuan empati dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yaitu jenis kelamin, pengalaman klinik, dan keadaan emosional seperti kecemasan dan stress. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi respon empati mahasiswa profesi ners pada pandemi COVID-19. Jenis penelitian ini kuantitatif dengan desain korelasi analitik dan pendekatan Cross Sectional. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa profesi ners di STIKes Payung Negeri dan Universitas Hangtuah sebanyak 132 responden. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Total Sampling. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian menggunakan kuesioner JSPE-R untuk mengukur tingkat empati dan kuesioner DASS 21 untuk mengukur tingkat kecemasan dan stress dalam bentuk google form. Analisis yang digunakan adalah Uji Statistic Chi-Square. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara faktor jenis kelamin dengan respon empati dengan nilai p value p=0,738, ada hubungan yang signifikan antara faktor pengalaman klinik dengan respon empati dengan p value p= 0,000, ada hubungan yang signifikan antara faktor kecemasan dengan respon empati dengan nilai p value p=0,01, dan tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara faktor stress dengan respon empati dengan nilai p value p=0,459. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar para mahasiswa profesi ners dapat meningkatkan dan membudidayakan respon empati yang berguna dalam memberikan asuhan keperawatan yang tepat kepada pasien saat praktik klinik di rumah sakit.

ABSTRACT Empathy is very much needed by nurses and nurse profession students, beside for establishing good relationships with patients, empathy is also needed to make it easier to explore patient problems, which will be helpful in accelerating the patient's healing process. Empathy can be affected by several factors, namely gender, clinical experience, and emotional states such as anxiety and stress. The aim of this research is to determine the factors that influence the empathetic response of nursing profession students in the COVID19 pandemic. This type of research is quantitative with an analytic correlation design and cross-sectional approach. The sample of this research is nursing profession students at STIKes Payung Negeri and Hangtuah University as many as 132 respondents. Sampling in this study uses the Total Sampling technique. Data collection in this study used the JSPER questionnaire to measure the level of empathy and the DASS 21 questionnaire to measure the level of anxiety and stress in the form of google form. The analysis used is the ChiSquare Statistical Test. The results of statistical tests showed that there was no significant relationship between gender factor and empathy response with p-value p = 0.738, there was a significant relationship between clinical experience factor and empathy response with p-value p = 0.000, there is a significant relationship between the anxiety factor and the empathy response with a p-value p = 0.01, and there is no significant relationship between the stress factor and empathy response with a p-value p = 0.459. This study recommends that students of nursing profession cam improve and cultivate an emphathetic response that is useful in providing appropriate nursing care to patients during clinical practice in hospitals.
