Nyeri abdomen Akupresur Titik ST36 Terapi nonfarmakologis

Abstract

Abdominal pain is one of the common complaints experienced by the community, especially due to irregular eating patterns, stress, or unsupervised drug consumption. Prolonged use of pharmacological therapy is at risk of causing side effects, so alternative safe and effective pain management is needed. Acupressure point ST36 (Zusanli) is one of the complementary therapies that has been proven to relieve abdominal pain through stimulation of the nervous system and increased blood circulation. This activity aims to reduce abdominal pain in the community in Sari Galuh Village. The activity uses an Evidence-Based Practice approach based on case studies of 5 patients. The intervention was carried out by applying acupressure to the ST36 point for three consecutive days, with a duration of 10 minutes. Measurement of pain levels was carried out using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Case study 1 shows an average decrease in the pain scale from Scale 6 (Moderate pain) to scale 3 (Mild pain). It is recommended that further researchers can develop this research by combining the ST36 (Zusanli) and SP6 (Sanyinjiao) acupressure therapy points simultaneously. The combination of these two points is believed to provide a more optimal synergistic effect in reducing the scale of abdominal pain.
