Sectio Caesarea Ansietas Terapi Distraksi Video Alam Pre Partum

Abstract

Cesarean section (CS) often triggers anxiety in preoperative mothers due to a lack of knowledge about the procedure, concerns about fetal safety, and perceptions of pain. Unresolved anxiety has an impact on physiological disorders such as increased heart rate and emotional instability. Nature video distraction therapy is a safe non-pharmacological intervention to reduce this anxiety. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of nature video distraction therapy in pre-C-section patients at Annisa Maternity Hospital using a descriptive case study approach based on Evidence-Based Practice Nursing. The research subjects consisted of two patients with moderate anxiety: the first patient (20 years old) with breech presentation and umbilical cord entanglement, and the second patient (29 years old) with cephalopelvic disproportion. The intervention consisted of playing nature videos for 15 minutes, once a day for 3 days, starting from December 8-10, 2025, for the first patient and December 15-17, 2025, for the second patient. Anxiety levels were measured using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). The results showed a significant decrease in both patients; the HARS score of the first patient decreased from 26 to 13, and the second patient from 25 to 12. In addition to the decrease in scores, the patients' pulse rates became more stable, restless behavior decreased, and sleep patterns improved. In conclusion, nature video distraction therapy is effective in reducing anxiety in pre-partum SC patients and is worthy of implementation as a nursing intervention. Further research is expected to expand the number of respondents and the duration of the study to obtain more comprehensive results.
