Abstract
Sectio caesare causes the mother to experience pain due to the incision process in the abdominal wall and uterus. Sectio caesare was performed because of indications of premature contractions. The patient has received pharmacological therapy in the form of keterolac injections but the pain has not resolved. Efforts that can be made to overcome pain apart from pharmacological therapy are by providing finger hold relaxation techniques. The finger hold relaxation technique is. This technique is simple because it can release endorphins is an analgesic hormone to treat pain. The aim of applying this finger hold relaxation technique is to overcome the problem of acute pain in patients after caesarean section surgery. Pain observation uses a measuring instrument in the form of a Numeric Rating Scale(NRS) which was carried out before and after being given the finger hold relaxation technique. The finger hold relaxation technique is carried out once a day for 3 days. Evaluation result showed that there was a decrease in pain in patients from a pain scale of 5 (moderate) to Scale 2 (mild). The patient appears more relaxed and calm. It is hoped that health services will be able to do so applying finger hold relaxation techniques to post sectio caesarea patients to deal with pain.
