Akupresure titik hegu (ATH) nyeri kepala hipertensi

Abstract

ABSTRACT Some people still use pharmacological therapy to relieve headaches. Meanwhile, headaches can be overcome with non-pharmacological therapies that have lower side effects, and are easy to do such as complementary therapy of acupressure hegu points. Acupressure therapy is a form of physiotherapy by providing massage and stimulation at a certain point or points on the body. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of hegu point acupressure therapy (ATH) on the headaches of hypertensive patients in the Rejosari Health Center area, Pekanbaru City. Quantitative research with quasy experiment design. The approach used was designed by the Time series pretest-Posttest Non-Equivalent without Group Control Design with a total of 16 respondents. The measuring instrument in this study is an observation sheet and uses a Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). The study was conducted on June 27-July 7, 2022. Research analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test obtained the results of the pre-test and posttest of the intervention group with a p-value = 0.002 smaller than alpha p<α (0.05) so that Ha was accepted meaning that there was a significant difference between the influence of pre-test and post-test hegu point acupressure (ATH) in the intervention group. Recommendations for subsequent researchers are expected to be able to investigate other non-pharmacological therapies that can reduce headaches in hypertensive patients such as complementary therapies and others.
